Research recommends that toddlers aged 12 to 36 months should get at least 30 minutes of structured physical activity (adult-led) and at least 60 minutes of unstructured physical activity (free play) every day; toddlers shouldn't be inactive for more than 1 hour at a time, except when they're sleeping. Also, recommended is that all children under five who can walk unaided should be physically active every day for at least 180 minutes (three hours), spread throughout the day, indoors or out. These activities are very significant because, the part of the brain that processes these movements is the same part of the brain that's processing learning.
At The FunMill, we invite children right from three years of age to discover the joy of stretching and moving their body and explore movement in the most fun way ever. Being part of a group, your child will learn important social skills such as observing, waiting their turn, following and giving directions, respecting one another and listening.
Movement programmes at The FunMill are designed for well-being through fun and not as competitive sports. Children are welcome to mix and match between programmes to get a feel of each activity and they can chose the combination of classes they want to enjoy. So they could pick one dance and two yoga sessions a week or one each of dance, yoga and gymnastics.
